Meal swaps: cook once, eat four times

Each family makes a big batch, everyone gets variety.

4 min read

In a meal swap, each household cooks a large batch of one dish and shares portions. Everyone gets several meals for the effort of one.

How

  1. Find three to five households with similar tastes
  2. Each makes a big batch of one freezer-friendly dish
  3. Swap portions on a set day
  4. Label everything with the dish, date and allergens

Food safety

Cool food quickly, keep it cold while transporting, and freeze what you won't eat within three to four days.
